vim - thoughts on spacevim

My thoughts about using SpaceVim

I used Spacevim for a little while. Here are my thoughts about it.

Pros:

1. I am very impressed with its capabilities as a full fledged IDE for java programming language
2. I was able to set up and then edit java code in it successfully
3. I like a lot of the features and customizations that come with it.
4. Awesome community. Questions are answered by someone on the community.

Cons:

1. A lot of abstraction and I could not figure out how it is “wired” together.
2. Making own experimentation with plugins that are not used by Spacevim can be difficult.
3. Vim customizations that you set up for yourself and using for a long time will no longer work and you will have to learn new commands.
