When I need a cheap host, I go to https://lowendbox.com/ and find a KVM provider that fits my requirements. For example Racknerd, which has a really good reputation there, just posted some good offers (https://lowendbox.com/blog/march-madness-sale-by-voted-1-top-provider-racknerd-kvm-vps-from-14-99-year-in-6-locations/).

Those cheap VMs tend to have pretty low storage though, so it depends on your needs.

I use Hetzner’s storage share and I love it. Super reliable and fast and it costs me only 4.84€/mo for 1TB.

Oracle cloud infrastructure.

Tricky to get it to work but you end up with 200gb of free storage. In Free tier, the total storage that we can get cannot exceed 200 GB.

For boot volumes, their minimum seems to be 50 GB. Based on this, adjust the size of the block volume. Get a block volume of 150 GB. Boot volumes of the instances can be 50 GB. Combined, it will not exceed 200 GB.

Attach the block volumes to the instances that you create.

I have been happy with www.whatbox.ca

Edit: starts at $15/mo for 2TB.

Self host but proxy it through a vps server for the static ip plus hide your router’s IP.

you can use the AWS Free Tier to host. Its pretty bare bones but it can handle a small nextcloud instance. I have a 2 user server I use daily with no major performance issues
